V.E. Day was fantastic! I often wonder if they will repeat, those times of war! And it just seems to continue, with a different flavor, but killing is killing no matter the title! And the one at the end has me a bit baffled, for I must figure it out! And it is eerie for I have hazel eyes that are at times very, very green! So I took a copy to study and I hope to have a response by morning, your late afternoon to evening! I feel so badly that I am unable to get to your poetry everyday! I always start out on Blogit with the best of intentions but have failed miserably! It will get better! Today, I slept the day away, but I am optimistic that in a week I will have made the necessary adjustments! My guess is that I am getting too much sleep for I have only required between 4 and 5 hours per night! I thank you for stopping by, it warms my heart when I read your comments. You are of truth and I admire that greatly!

What an interesting account of V.E. Day. Funny how a declaration of peace can make sworn enemies become friends. Convinces me further that the greatest barrier between two people is the mind.

Re:
Well jfm all will be explained. I sort through disks, I can't always remember if I've used the first poem before and it feels a bit like cheating not to write one on the day. The other thing is every time I post one the other disappears whereas some are able to keep[ plonking them on in succession. I don't think you will need a dictionary, I cannot spell and tend to stick to simple words. Further more I never really feel pleased with some and it is like a double bet, If you don't like one perhaps the other might appeal. Yes and you are probably right about the other things. Nice to hear from you.

Re: V.E Day Oldtimes
I should not think he was the same Fem the mind can only take so much cruelty even if it is to one's enemy. I was only a boy and thought I might have to go to Korea, but it never happened and although one doesn't think too much about it at the time, who wants those memories. MB

Re:
Hi Shobana. Thank you for calling, I hope it isn't hot in your offices, yes I expect you noticed the one for Sam ended and began each sentence with the same word. It is not as easy as it looks, but  bet she will have go, I think I had better revert to the easy life.

I was born just as the war ended ...my Dad was a farmer, so he
didn't go to war..he had to grow food to feed the troops. I used to play with the old ration coupons as a child.

Why are you always writing couplets--2 poems at a time? I don't mind anybody being more advaced than me, but I can only read one poem at a time (unless you got some kind of spilt personality-- which will propell me back into therapy). Now, I understand you have have an extraordinary ability with the use of words, but that's no reason I should carry a dictionary around with me...like "paraphin"--is that what agent orange is to the gas mask, or is just Saranwrap?

Now all I got to say about all that is this: I really like how you use 1 word to implode its meaning despite the words around it. Its almost as if you have an internal and external counterpoint going on simultaneously--like 2 worlds in different times.

So who am I to get confused about this? Hummnnn?

V.E Day Oldtimes
Conflict is terrible I worked for the Armed Forces Department of Defense and conflicts were always on hand. I did engineering for communications and remember John Fitzgerald Kennedy assissanited and going over the air on radio and TV telling our Armed Forces what had happened. Very say the good thing is this is where I met my husband who was in the Navy. He was assigned several time overseas and his last assignment was Viet Nam where he did reporting and took pictures when his hilicopter was shot down. When her returned home he was never the same and 4 years ago he died of bone cancer. We were madely in love and the memories I retain in my heart live forever. I enjoyed yours story poem of sad and love they made me think of where I came from. Blessings Mr. MB Fema
