Maybe a little practicum in B.C. (Canada) is in order for these police officers....

I guess those officers didn't watch enough Cheech and Chong movies back in the day. Great training for spotting pot...

When I was younger, a cop found my bong, asked what it was and proceeded to tilt it up in an attempt to look down the the top, he subsequently doused himself with bong water.

For training purposes only; I give you Exhibit A., a Marijuana leaf!

A single marijuana leaf shows great leaf detail.

I am happy to hear that the cops dont have a clue what the plant would look
like, unlike New York where the cops smoke more than the people they bust, and have parties with the weed they take away from people; lol. They would be able to identify marijuana in their sleep. :)
I used to go to police officer's parties in my liberal days lol

Nautikos
Z You know something? They should offer a special lecture and lab session in the botany lab at the community college. There the police could study it, learn to identify it by the seedlings, stem, growth habit, and leaf direction and shape. Moreover, working with themselves, that is, their department; they could sow it and raise plants in the greenhouse. They could be kept for demonstration purposes of education or destroyed. Now if I pretend to be our neighbour and give a big hint that the Aussie
gal is growing something ...we can get this property mowed and the garden weeded for nothing.

Well, they're supposed to protect and serve...
They can take the horse mint to the city's mulch pile. Guess I heard it wrong -- the cops really don't have the best dope.

ROTFLMAO!! Something like Sam's post about the FBI - but this one is for real? Actually, the chief would be better buying a bike for his kid...at least those tax dollars weren't wasted.

I guess the good part of it is that if they don't know what it looks like and what it smells like, they must not be users themselves, or dealers.

Knew a college kid who carried his weed in a film cannister:
Cop was suspicious of the looks of it, opened it and sniffed, the kid said, 'Mistake, huh?' The cop who thought he knew, said, "Yeah, big mistake... you're under arrest...'
The weed was oregano, cut with thyme and rosemary... This kid was always ready to make a mean spaghetti sauce!
The first cop at the station took a sniff, gave the first cop a look, and gave the kid his herbs back.
