I can relate to this well...
I have a problem, I am always decieving myself but cannot seem to help it no matter what. Its like self sabbotage, and Im defeated daily... by me.

I used to undeceive myself as a nightly, laying there in the dark routine.
I tore myself to shreds throughout my adolescent and well into adult years. I tore down every seemingly worthy deed to expose the ugly, selfish, fearful motivations behind it...
It took many years to finally get it that every single act, noble or base, has more than one motivation. Some, baser than others... but also some nobler. They all count. In the long run, we have much to critique in ourselves, but also much to admire and approve. If we do the one, we must also do the other. If we do neither... well, hopefully the world will cover it.
