This is a very interesting post.
I'm glad that you felt comfortable while you were there.

That's great news!
It can be hard to study in an environment when students feel pressure from religion or anything else.
It never bothers me that people are religious, as long as they are happy and are not pushy with their beliefs.

I think it is good when a school of a particular faith does not promote another agenda! I wonder if other religious colleges can say the same! sam

fsi
I think that it was introduced to me as a child. I was forced to go to church, but as I got older, the decision was left up to me.

FSI -I have Jesuit priests who are friends and from my perspective, living in a  multi-religious country, they have never forced catholicism on anyone. They preach the gospel, initiate religious beliefs but the ultimate decision of the choice of religion lies only on "you". My church that I attend is run by a Jesuit priest too and we pray for all the religions to come together in peace. The whole trouble starts when a religion is forced upon one. Thank you for sharing this and your visit.

It sounds as though Loyola College was pretty good and didn't thrust theology down the students' throats.
