Your mother has been a strong woman
to be able to care so well for her children by herself and under such stressful situations.

Of course, no parent is perfect, but I have to wonder how I would have survived all of that.

Tzippy, in a way i wish we could go back to 1967 and prevent the arming of hamas and indoctrination of thhe plo, but how?  what could we have done differently?

It saddens me........war is bad enough, but when children are stripped of their innocence because of it..........sucks

This is quite a story you are building, my friend. I say again how amazed I am at the resilience of children...and yet, they are also very delicate and situations that we might think aren't a big deal to others affect some kids profoundly. So resilient, yet delicate. Amazing things, these human beings. Nice writing.

It pains me so that children have to grow up in external strife! It was good to read about all of the different factions having a brief amount of joy! But the evildoers will always be plotting and plotting! sam

As far as I can see Islam is against the whole world that they see as
Infidels but as I have said...I have never known war personally. I am an outsider so will not comment on your President. I am sure that you are grateful that the USA gave you a new home and a safe haven. Israel is in God's hands I am sure.

Tzippy, no-one can understand and rationalize it better than the ones who have been through it themselves and it does take a lot of understanding and forgiveness. Thanks so much for the visit and I am happy the poem made you happy.

I just wanted to clarify...I don't know what it was like for you and I will never know or understand what it's like to suffer the way you did. And to have to live in a place where there is war or constant threat of it.I've said it before, your positive strength I admire.

Tzippy

Of course I have not lived through what you have lived through, but I think I understand. And knowing history, and having taken up a serious study of Islam, I also understand some of the dynamics of the forces lined up against Israel.

But I still do not fully comprehend the reasons for the persistence of anti-Semitism and even hatred of Jews that persists in the world at large, and that is becoming visible ever more strongly in Europe, interestingly not so much in Germany, but in Britain and in France...

I understand...why your heart is Strong, I understand that being hard is necessary, that war is necessary, what I don't understand is politics. The undercurrent  is strong and powerful, and I guess that kind of strength I wish the world did not have access to. Hate and love are both extremely emotional states maybe there isn't a middle, neutral ground.

I have never been a political or history buff so I know not what you write about.

The humane Society of your area should be able to give you the numbers and offer suggestions.  Even if he was found dead they should know.  Don't give up!  He might be also walking the streets looking for her :-(  xoxoxo

Tzippy... not to change the subject but about your dog... try the dog catcher... I know for a fact that dogs do not stay free in Manhattan for long... they get picked up and sometimes they have lost their tags so they can not be returned... Call them!  and also post pictures of him with your number.  Someone might have picked him up thinking he was no ones... New Yorkers love dogs.  Good luck!  xoxoxo

Amazing.....everyone was better off when  Jerusalem was reunited.

Tzippy, it is difficult to convince some people of this President's intentions and accepting that his actions are dangerous in these matters.   We have never had a President that purposely degrades our relationship with the only democracy and strongest ally in the entire Middle East.   We can only persevere and hope nothing major happens to Israel in the next 980 days.....

Even during the time of Jerusalem's stumbling, men of faith did not cease from [living] there.
(Talmud: Shabbat 119b)
I think that it will always be, no matter what.

TZippy
This situation and all those that have happened to the Jews are explained so clearly in the Bible. The Jews are Gods chosen people and they will not be wiped off the earth. Study those battles carefully all of them since 1947, if you do not see clearly the miracles in them I cannot clarify anything more. They will be almost wiped out but not totally never never will God allow that. I know God and Jesus I know this will not happen.

It's interesting how things proceeded as "normal" despite the metaphorical elephant in the room, not that I would have expected otherwise. I have seen situations that do not compare to yours where people try to get that sense of normalcy.
