Personally I don't think her sex origin is a big deal.

My knee jerk reaction was so what if she is or isn't
Can she she do the job......at least without a family she has no outside committements, she can give her all to the job ..... and from an outside observer it would seem that whatever she undrtakes she gives her all. It is sort of really nice to see more women getting top positions...it has to give balance to justice me feels.

We have members of parliament who are openly gay. The media made the most of it when it all came out, but nobody cares now. Wasn't even mentioned in the run-up to the recent election, and the two most famous gay men were returned to parliament by the electorate.

I don't think her sexual preference has any bearing on her nomination! If that is the only 'dirt' they can find, well than let it rest! My goodness, it seems we have to rip at people endlessly! I would think her record on the issues at hand would serve to reveal who she is in the matters concerning her appointment! Brother, I am at a loss that we feel we need to know a person's sexual preference to get a position! I know they want to play the 'influence' card, but damn, let it go! Just my humble thoughts! Where's the tolerance? sam
