The massacre of 1890 is not the last time armed forces have
advanced on Wounded Knee. Look up Russell Means and the American Indian Movement for details on the more recent confrontation. I don't think the arrival of military choppers at Wounded Knee causes "confusion." I believe the word you're looking for is fear.
