The majority of Middle Easterners coming to North America at least use the proper channels - whether tose are adequate is another question. Your southern border, on the other hand, has become a war zone, certainly on the Mexican side. And the illegals may be a benefit to certain specific industries (agriculture in particular), but represent a net loss to the US economy as a whole, partly but not only because of the many social problems associated with this uncontrolled influx of people...
History has shown that no state can permit its borders to be penetrated by significantly different populations without incurring huge problems...
