There is a kind of comforting familiarity about these Farmers' Markets, they tend to have the same feel, whether in Mundane, Whitby or Halifax. In many places there's an 'inside' and an 'outside', and 'inside' there's always a heady aroma of herbs, freshly baked bread and coffee, and often there's a man with pony tail strumming a guitar...

Those storms are now over Memphis with no let-up in sight. I don't remember it raining so much for so long. We had a respite for about an hour when the clouds broke and the sun dared peek through, but it was soon back at it, making up for the lost time. Thunder and air raid sirens are so steady I don't pay any attention to them. Hopefully, it'll all be over by tomorrow, but I'm not betting on it.

When I used to live in Lexington......
I looked forward every Saturday morning to walking down from my high rise to enjoy the farmer's market...."Lunker" sized tomatoes, fresh cut flowers, and my weekly sin....Snickerdoodle cookies from an Amish family.....
Thanks for bring back that memory....

That all sounds like so much fun.
May is the month when mother always would let us start going barefoot. That was so important to us. Before that she was afraid we would "catch our death of cold".
