- Go to Poll: Most support Arizona immigration law
Re:
The immigration you are thinking of was back in the 20's, 30's, 40's etc. The part that everyone does not think of is that today's immigrant is different. Today, the immigrants do not care to BE an American. They just want the benefits. It is not the same as it was all those years ago and most liberal minded people are too narrow minded to understand that fact. If these people are ILLEGAL then they should not be allowed here.

Re:
They did not take away jobs from Americans because Americans are now too lazy to do the field work. This nation is too busy walking to the mailbox to get the government hand out welfare check every month. Just another harmful idea from democrats, the most worthless of mankind.

I find it odd that people would say that immigration hurt the U.S. The vast majority of this population's families were immigrants at some point in time!

On the face of it, it seems reasonable to challenge illegal immigrants
but the real problem is defining such vague terms as "reasonable suspicion." And as long as that remains so undefined, this law remains questionable, at least in my mind.
It is also very hard on local law-enforcement to ask them to take on the job of the Border Patrol, as well as their usual tasks--and the more so, without clear guidelines.

Manda, This
Almost two-thirds, or 64 percent, said they believed immigration hurt the United States, with nearly six in 10, or 58 percent, saying illegal immigrants took jobs away from American workers, the poll found.
is what I call ignorance of the "lacking education" type. It seema innocent, but it is still dangerous ignorance.
