Re: I was inspired
I was inspired by the book Warrior Princess by Princess Kasune Zulu. She is a hero, as well as a beautiful example that AIDS, which has been described as "the perfect storm" of Africa--doesn't have to mean an end to hope and life. She has started spoken for AIDS awareness in the USA, and Australia, and has inspired people to act NOW to become a world citizen, a good Samaritan, and educate and act out of compassion for those hurting from the tidal wave of devestation this illness leaves in it's wake. Poverty, poor living conditions, and lack of education weave a web that is hard to break, and many children find themselves without parents (lost to AIDS) and become victims of the sex trade at an early age so they can pay for their to school!

Princess started Fountain of Life, a school for orphans in Zambia, in order to stop this deadly cycle that goes on, yet it is so easy to make a difference in the life of these orphans! Princess Zulu lives with this deadly virus, but her shining eyes and strong spirit inspires others who battle this illness to take heart. It is not the end. I am so inspired, It would be one of my dreams to help children of Africa effected by this disease, (either because of loss of parents, hunger, or because they have been infected) . Compassion is the first step; from their comes the desire to provide those simple things that make a world of a difference in the lives of those who struggle with so little. Fresh water, enough food for the day, education without becoming a part of the sex trade, and awareness can stop this epidemic in it's tracks.
