Simone
Simone how nice to remember how your mother related these memories to you.
I suppose it was a kind of a moral issue, but one can't help wondering if the rock was actually the lucky one. Very nicely written, really liked it

Z For myself I kept a rock that I dug when I was four. My parents died. I moved from our house. But, I still have the rock love. BC-A, Bill’s RJLst

Sinome
This is a lovely poem. I wish I could be so stedy to stay rock solid and bear witness to whatever one needed for so long. I loved the patteren it made of the writing too. I love your poems and yes to the writer, but mostly to you for bringing it to us.

Sinome, i wonder if this was the inspiration for Mia Angelou's innauguration poem in 1993 for Clinton, she entitled "The Rock, The River, The Tree". It always seemed so obviously a reference to hillary, bill and the algore.
