You are right on the the mark; protecting self-esteem is important! There is great risk taking when searching and the possibility of great bruising when the results are far less than expected.  Thanks for responding.

I agree that each of us should do what's right for us... This poem was a response to reading an article about a man who found his not so nice mother and his father: Charles Manson.Thanks for responding.

nursery rhyme to make the point. But I think I would also respect anyone who's looking for their biological parents.
