Pat
I recently read about a stem-cell treatment for diabetes I and II, available in Germany, apparently with good results.
As for myself, my only 'symptom' is an excessive thirst for scotch...

This is a great post Pat and it is good to be reminded of the symptoms and
yes, it can be reversed if you know about it early. I have never had a sign of it but always have a blood test every year to be sure. Alsoweeat very carefully these days. I dofeelsad when I hear ofyoung peoplewith it though because there can be gradual damage done that manifests itself later on in life.

speaking as one who delayed...
by all means, get tested every couple of years at least: Diabetes 2 can be seen coming and reversed with diet and exercise before it takes hold.
Once you've got it, you've got it.
Eat smart, learn to love some kind of exercise, and have the simple blood test now and then.
