hmmm...how about, "I didn't want to talk last night..." I find being open and honest enough is the mark of a true friend. There are times when we all just want to 'veg' and not think - not talk - not stress --- it's called 'refueling.' ~ If she is a 'friend' she would and will understand. Elyse

There are many people now who screen their calls.. or never answer. They just return them when they can. Me... I'm always leaving my cell phone behind.. don't have it. LOL!
But I still like to chat occasionally.

If she is your friend you do not need an excuse... tell her the truth... "I did not feel like talking and stayed all night watching movies"... If she is not your friend then you do not need to make up excuses... just call her back and say " hey... what's up, I saw you called" . We complicate ourlives way too much thinking of excuses for others when in reality we are not accountable to them, only to ourselves. This lady does not sound like a good friend... but sometimes we are good friends to those that are not the same to us. Your being worried about how she would feel speaks of your good character and your good heart. Call her and listen to her problems... that is what friends do :-) but don't feel as if you did anything wrong. Your time is YOUR time and you do not need to appologize for spending it how ever you want to spend it. If she is your friend she will understand and if she is not who cares :-) xoxoxo

I went to bed with a headache........or I was watching movies and didn't
want to talk........or my latest lover was making mad passionate love to me from one end of the apartment to the other.........or I was in a good mood and didn't need a lecture.....I had ear ache and my ears were too sore to put a telephone to.
