Benzhina, that sounds like a fine idea!
I suggest getting in touch with Judy Beggs at Friends of Gueoul, tell her about your intentions for the schools you want to support, and ask about how she started.
I gather the key to FoG was to keep it very simple, very focussed on one need, one place. They have also designed this project such that the local people in Gueoul, elders and teachers and such, are the ones who run the project there. Nothing is imposed by the American group. The other evening, someone mentioned a model which this project follows. I will be asking some questions about that when I talk with her next.

It was Mohamed Yunnus' theory that helping women changes the world
all around them for the better. Helping men, sadly, doesn't have the same effect.
What a wonderful project to be associated with. I am trying to figure out how to use my sister's non-profit on paper only corp. to aid schools in Mexico and in Central America........which have nothing inside the roofed areas wher etheir teachers do their best to educate the children without papers, pencils, black boards, chalk, etc......
What fun it shall be.
My sister in Guadalajara helps the Junior League to care for the maternity and children's wards at the Hospital Civil, another underfunded and understaffed never ending story place.
