We soul mates now Cynthia,
'cause snow is my garden too. Hey, if you need to get around in Montreal, call me, I'm ex Montreal cabbie living 4 hours west in Ontario now. Great post!!

Beautifully Written

You and I, Cynthia...we have much to discuss. Our upbringings sound eerily similar, and our thoughts on it are also very similar.

I come from Colorado, where right now, as we speak, there is a well-funded Republinazi effort to once and for all destroy its natural beauty, because--of course--there's profit in 'dem 'thar hills! I came to appreciate the immense power of those magnificent mountains and those pristine valleys. Enough to cry now when I think of their imminent destruction.

Get yourself warm, girl!

Cynthia!
What an awesome post! I love it! How sad that man cannot live in harmony with nature. I realize it's not always a realistic feat but one (I believe) we should strive towards. How sad if one cannot recognize the beauty in the wild, untamed world that touches us in some way..even reaching the city dwellers! Excellent post!!

I like the impact on your writing of having no NYTimes. It is even better

I'm Definitely Not A Granola Girl

but Mother Nature and my dog hold the most comfort for me. I like the way you write.
