If I were you i would stop taking the penicillin immediatly
and go back to the doc and tell her/him that you are not going to take something that is making you itch and that you demand she give you another antibiotic or you will take action. It is unbelievable, how doctors can ignore the fact that you have already told her that you are allergic. That makes me mad that you have to suffer for her mistakes.

Perhaps your doctor should change your antibiotics. I too am allergic to penicillin, and I wouldn't want anything that will make me itch like that again.

Re:
yes obviously she doesnt know what the internet says about it, I will be ok, its just nerve racking

Maybe you should also go back to that doctor and tell her about the allergy and ask her to check out the internet!! Gosh lustorlove, if you tell a doctor about adverse reaction to medication then she should take it seriously and now look what has happened to you. In the end it is the patient that suffers. Poor you!

Re:
not Benadryl but an off brand, and I did take it and I cant tell yet if it worked or not

I don't know why the doctor would still prescribe it. My father is allergic to penicillin like you are, and doctors will make sure to prescribe something else.

This is eight hours since you wrote this.  Did you get the Benadryl?....and is it helping?  I hope so.

Hi Lustor
So sorry you are having this problem. Please get the Benadryl and I would call the doctor too. Use care in such matters when you know you have had a reaction to a med. God bless you dear one.

Be vey careful love...any sign of breathing difficulty dizzyness fainting

itchy skin all over, sneezing or vomitting ...go straight to the hospital ER.

I have no idea what Wiley did to my computer but it works a lot quicker now and isn't jumping all over the place when I write.
