I believe when we begin to play with words and usurp the true meaning we are doomed! This seems to be the case! I also think that posturing and playing the 'offensive' card is the first step these types of folks instill to begin the breakdown and the ultimate take over in whatever is the goal! Biblical verses have always been cryptic and so it makes sense that modern language would follow suit as your examples alluded to, one can only hope they mean the very best but actions show a different interpretation!
