I am so against racism, but sometimes it does seem as the white male is
the minority.. I hate hearing the horrible slams said about Obama, however, I am extremely disappointed with him and his admin. I had such high hopes. :(

I usually stay away from the political posts due to the anger when one side can't get another to agree with them. However, I am and have been from the start anti Obama.

just looking at those stories on your link, Corbin -- there's nothing there really indicting the president in the manner your wishful thinking imagines.

I meant to say more, but my computer hiccuped or something..
What I don't get about the more radical elements of the Republican and/or Tea Party members is their total snuff out of the fact that Obama was legally elected; not placed by the Supreme Court after a recount of votes was halted, to the Presidency - the will of the majority spoke, the will of the American people put him there, per our democratic process. Yet they screech that he must be removed, impeached, etc. because freedom is in mortal danger - huh???
I believe dissent is necessary and healthy, but the racism, violent rhetoric and intimidation tactics by some on the far right verges very close to fascism!

As long as I breathe I will never understand racism! When I was in my youth we were the only white family in a black neighborhood. Those are the fondest memories I have! People were just people in my neighborhood. My neighborhood pals were the absolute best I could have asked. I raised my kids to be accepting of all people! There were always more people of color around than 'white' when they were growing up! We are selling ourselves short when exclude anyone or abase anyone due to the color of their skin. Indeed, woe to them who are... sam

Corbin -- I've posted links to stories showing racism among tea partiers -- and they keep coming all the time. I guess I'll have to post another.
and conservatives are truly becoming totally nasty and ugly -- and more so to this man than to any other in recent history. what difference is there other than that he's Black?

I try see to erosion of freedom in saving lives
and for the life of me i can't see it.
the only so-called "freedom" affected here is freedom of insurance companies to refuse to cover someone or for insurance to be out of reach for millions of Americans.

Wiley, my friend.....when this is all over.......i hope you will see what the overriding issue is down here. We are seeing our freedoms eroded away by this man......I could care less that he's black, but I'm really concerned about the "red" in him. Don't be angry with some of us...we are fighting for our country's survival.
Read the information from both sides....give us a shot at making our points, that's all we are asking.

As a Canadian I can't really be involved but I do have an opinion about human nature anywhere. Nobody likes to face the truth of their situation after leading a delusion for years and years. America is trying to blame it's failure on one man now, especially because they have a black man to blame it on, but the fact is that all the thieves like B Madoff on Wall Street, robbed America of it's esteemed place in the world, and most of the other Madoff's were white men as well. Hell, one of those men in jail down there was a turn-coat Canadian by the name of Black, he was a crook as well, but he's not a Canadian anymore.
I do hope somebody comes to the fore and wakes America up out of it's insane thinking again, before she assassinates another good president. God Bless America/God Help America.

However, if you can't take the fire then....
I am more than tired of seeing congressmen and government officials whining about somebody called them a name. Too many wimps in this world!

Re: Re: Odd.....
Nice try at misinformation...... in your post you stated:
"It has prompted conservative politicians to circulate mass emailings with racist and homophobic undertones"
Your sourced response is in regard to personal e-mails sent by this idiot in the past 2 years to people on his e-mail list. that's a far cry form a campaign sending out "mass emails".
I agree that this creep deserves to be humiliated and defeated......but don't try and use him to sully the rest of us.......
There is no "tea party" per se....this nut may be supported by local affiliated groups, but he is not a tea party candidate
Hmmmm...the tape you refer to is the old man shouting with his hands cupped around his mouth? If this is proof, why hasn't the slime bag Keith Imnoman, collect the reward? Trigger? He's dead and stuffed in the Roy Rogers museum......

Re: Odd.....
An online news outlet in New York state has obtained dozens of emails, many of them racist and sexually graphic, which it reports were sent by Carl Paladino, the Tea-Party-backed Republican candidate for governor of New York, to a long list of political and business associates. One email shows a video of an African tribal dance, entitled 'Obama Inauguration Rehearsal,' while another depicts hardcore bestiality.
"Paladino's campaign manager, Michael Caputo, would not comment on specific emails, but acknowledged to TPMmuckraker that Paladino had sent emails that were 'off-color' and 'politically incorrect,' saying that few such emails represented the candidate's own opinion. Caputo accused Democrats of wanting to change the subject from substantive issues to 'having sex with horses.' "
Paladino sent them out, but few represent his opinion? Huh? Whose opinion do they represent?

I have seen the tape -- MSNBC has it -- what is your response, that the man was shouting "Trigger"? after spitting repeatedly on the congressman? Lol

Odd.....
the only people inciting racist comments and topics are you and your ilk.......
It has prompted conservative politicians to circulate mass emailings with racist and homophobic undertones. Do you have any examples of this? The politics of innuendo only works on the poorly informed....We're still waiting for someone to collect Breitbart's offer of $100,000 for anyone who can produce a recording or video of any tea party person uttering "The Word"......at the healthcare vote.
You are far from being in the middle....you're just sly like a fox."
You're adopting the words of Van Jones:
"I am willing to drop the radical pose for the radical ends." What you are doing is Saul Alinsky's Rule 13:
"Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it and polarize it."
Kingmi.....there's still hope for you.....
Now for the snarky reply....

Australia won't talk about it, but Island people were lured to the Cane fields of North East Australia to become slaves of the cane cutters.
All Europeans were oppressive rulers during the Colonialism years....from England right across Europe wherever they held control there are ugly stories to be remembered and learnt from.
