Re: No new post?
I haven't been getting many views on the posts I have made so it is not worth my while to post more poems so much as to try to get new readers and attract old readers back. And Blogit activity in general takes a back seat to my other activities, some of which earn me an income and some of which are what I earn an income for.
For the record, when I started out on Blogit, I roughly broke even. I have been taking a loss since then.

Re:
Do you have a particular contest in mind, Shelly, that you think my poem should win? I will have a look around to see what is available if you don't.
Thanks,
Carl Peter

Re: Brood of Vipers
Hopefully, we will see the day when they are all replaced by publicly minded citizens doing their civic duty for a term or two.

Re: Poor snakes....I think comparing them to snakes is an insult on the latter.
Very true. They are what they are while political partisans choose to be this way.

Brood of Vipers
A very fitting description of the political class. Our politicians too stink like a sewer. It will be interesting to see if any win a majority in our elections next month after the expenses scandal. The lines:
'Sinking your fangs
Of venomous lies and hatred
Into the organs of truth' really say it all.

Apparently "snakes" are in the eye of the beholder. You know, as they say
about taste...There's no accounting for it....

Re:
Thanks for stopping by Darson. I wrote it when I had enough of Democratic hypocrisy. I finally released it now when I have had more than enough of Democratic hypocrisy.
