Re: Re: NUKE EM EH?
you mentioned backbone -- I responded.

the main idea here is you think we should nuke -- for almost anything.  you think nukes are the only deterrent to aggression by others.  you forget that the 9/11 perpetrators knew we had nukes and they killed over 3500 anyway.

you also are saying that Bush made a mistake by not nuking Afghanistan.

There are lots of means of deterrence besides the threat of nuclear weapons.  But even our invasion of Afghanistan and Iraq hasn't deterred violence.  In fact, the illegal invasion of Iraq has left us vulnerable to attack more than before.

So that nukes may be the only option since all our resources are bogged down in Iraq.  (just joking -- nukes is no joke).

Re: X-Man....you just can't get on topic...So I'll repeat my answer from RSM's
so the topic is sending signals eh?

so you want us to send the signal to the world that the U.S. doesn't give a shit about anyone else in the world.

X-Man....you just can't get on topic...So I'll repeat my answer from RSM's
post......

Can you ever get on topic.....
this has nothing to do with destroying anything....it has to do with sending signals.  Displaying weakness.....emboldening our enemies.

I have a nasty ol' gun in my house..but I put a sign on my front porch informing everyone that I pledge to never uses it to protect myself...am I increasing or decreasing the chances of having a criminal attempting to do something dastardly to me?

SO BACKBONE IS LAUNCHING AN ICBM TO INCINERATE THOUSANDS
of miles away a whole city of people who weren't part of the situation and then radiating hundreds of millions more.

Back bone really is deciding to negotiate -- to live in the world instead of trying to dominate it.

Every country that has tried to dominate the world has failed.

But then again, that's the conservative way -- shortsightdness at every turn.

Corbin...
I do believe in "peace thru strength". However, killing someone on the basis of suspicion, and then finding out they weren't carrying a gun/lethal weapon, is not a sign of having backbone but rather of lacking good judgment. Peace!

Re: NUKE EM EH?
True pacifist thinking on your part here Xerox. Just sit and wait until someone kills you. Wow, what a concept. Do you have any resemblance of a backbone at all or do you just let people walk all over you? Your political thoughts are worthless.

Let’s be clear: Wars prevented are wars not fought. And when faced with hostile adversaries, the best prevention is peace through strength. There is little room for banking on tulips and tea.

NUKE EM EH?
They live in nothing but a desert anyway -- might as well make them a nuclear wasteland -- and let the radiation flow to the countries around -- our allies in the region would certainly thank us for the millions dying of radiation sickness.

You are a true conservative -- holding nothing sacred nor having regard for anything outside your own narrow, limited-perception world and provincial little clique of exclusive narrow-minded people.

Corbin
I don’t know what Obama tried to achieve with this totally unnecessary declaration! If it was greater security, he’s delusional…
