awww what a great looking bunch of peeps ~ thanks for sharing the photo --- you know when I was young I had a few of these and I often wondered what happened to them because no matter how I fed them and watched over them, seems like they were gone sooner (more than later) ... Elyse

There was a programme in high school when my kids were there, to
adopt a chicken as a learning experience for parenting. An excellent lesson becase Northsage is correct. They need a mother to love protect and teach them how to survive. It was a full time job for the students.....they weren't allowed to give it to Mum to raise.

These are from a new process......the color is injected into the eggs and it doesn't harm the chicks.....unless you're talking about the kids squashing them?
