I GUESS YOU ARE READY TO MAN THE FRONT LINES IN THE WAR
Christian and Moslem numbers being about even at about 1 1/3 billion each, this should be the bloodiest war ever on Earth.

But it seems you want it.  You keep running some of the most misinformed posts ever.

But wait a minute -- you're Atheist -- you can just egg the Christians on.

I can see you are not amenable to the ideals of the United States of America, where all are welcome.  You are not cognizant of history, where Muslims have treated both Christians and Jews with utmost respect, contrary to how Christians have treated, not only Muslims and Jews, but fellow Christians.

I see you aren't cognizant of the Christian South, where many Christians hate Blacks, Jews, anyone who differs from them in some way.

You haven't read news stories of how gays are treated by Christians, or how Blacks continue to be treated in many quarters of our "Christian" (75%) nation.

You don't see the hundreds of millions of moderate Muslims who don't share the philosophy of the extremists who misuse certain portions of the Kuran for their fanatical purpose.

You certainly don't see the root of the problem, which lies in the imperialism of European powers and the economic exploitation of the Third World by industrialized countries, particularly the U.S.

I can assure you that you don't want Christianity to prevail.  Just look at the views of some of the Christians here on Blogit -- how much do they reflect their counterparts outside Blogit?  Aren't you worried in the least that your viewpoint could be squelched by Christian conservatism?

The fanatics on Blogit and scattered through Christianity are just as dangerous as fanatics in any religion.  They just oppress others differently.

I hope it passes.  Or - give the full-body burka wearers the option to be body-checked at any time!  Mal

Re:
errata: My keyboard sticks and I missed the double negative. The Muslim clothing doesn't harm anyone.

J I guess that I feel that Muslim clothing doesn’t bother me. For myself I wonder how the women do it. I’ve noticed that they’re pretty and surprisingly use great feminine personalities. Many are nice people .They’re just like devout Catholics on Fridays (ok, not an exact analogy). I don’tthink that their exercise of freedom of religion on this cultural difference with the West doesn’tharm anyone. I’d give the clothing. BC-A, Bill”s RJLst

Sad words in any language, in any land, in any quandary, "It may be too late."

I like the idea of not allowing one to be fully masked as it were! It is a security issue in this day and age! It opens the door for anyone to attire themselves in a potential deceitful manner. Shelly

Perhaps it is a sign that they are now begining to realize the deep danger
that is looming in their country. And I believe it is a good sign that the liberal european crowd may be forced to wake up, however, its a bit to late for that now. The writing on the wall has been so loud for so long that they slept and did nothing. Now they may not be able to get out from under the threat of terror gaining total control. Here in America, I think the same thing will happen, We will not do anything until its a bit too late. That is the road of the liberal mind. I pray that more reasonable objective people will be in control and take action before its too late.

I hate to even say this... because I could kick myself for feeling this way,  but I believe that  it is a slippery slope we embark upon when we start infringing into the rights of people to practice their religion... no matter which religion it might be,  how obnoxious we might think it is... or how much we dislike it... I think that kind of thing often turns into a case of "for whom the bell tolls" Besides... What kind of a right is that to see who is looking at you??? Never heard of it. It would be nice to have a law that said " If you look at someone you must show yourself  loll.  and security reasons???  Please , with today's technology they can see our underwear and beyond if they so desire... a cloth covering will not hide anything...On the other hand , that law is another way to discourage muslims to move to a country loll    Ok :-)  and... On a more pleasant note... Have a wonderful Easter weekend Naut :-)  xoxoxo
