I'm still a little confused about the feedback thing. I'll try to read it again to see how you are doing it. Sounds like a good idea. I'm sorry I haven't kept up on your blog. I need to go way back to catch the story that looks quite interesting. Thanks for the visit.

"Comments and feedback" are what blogit's about...a fascinating place with people from all around the world. I had never heard of it until Shelly (Sam444) introduced me to it. I am grateful too. As little as I do write...my thoughts and my attempt at poetry happen here. I'm in school right now so my time is limited, homework is more important. Your story I'm glued to and will get caught up on soon, I hope.

Lots of good knowledge and suggestions here Tzippy ~ thank you for taking such good time because I know this blog of yours took great time to do. and I do try to read many and there are days when I can sit and read for hours and I mean hours... I do hope others don't feel ignored. I don't like for anyone to feel neglected or sad if people don't read what they write. Makes me feel badly - as some can take this as a personal affront or negative. However, I appreciate your telling me how to interact with comments...I will try but, I just got used to commenting on my blog --- I'm getting older and these changes can make me squeamish LOL ~ seriously, I think I understand what you are offering for us to do. Oh and I don't have the quality time to go to the cafe area. Write on Tzippy and I will read as much as I can. (but again, I want quality time to read so I don't just zip through a blog and misinterpret what someone is writing - which I can do...) Elyse

Thank you for the mention! I read a lot of blogs, too! Some days I get a good response and other days not as good. My focus is to encourage others and if I satisfy that for myself then I feel good! sam

I visited the family plot often, walking often. I went back to college a second time. And, my mother was alive the first semester when she became really sick and died in December 2003. In this way I transferred the grief into creativity. I share my feelings and media activities now with bloggers. Other than that I’m lucky after work and writing to blog the way I do it now love. INTEREST ME, MY FRIENDS AND BLOGS THAT GIVE ME SOMETHING TO LEARN, TO THINK ABOUT. ONE THING THAT DOES ANNOY ME, IS THIS DARN COMPUTER SKIPS LETTERS AND MAKES ME LOOK AS THOUGH I AM WRITING JIBBERISH. SORRY ABOUT THAT...I WILL HAVE TO CHECK MORE CLOSELY.

I think as long as someone uses a consistent method that things will sort themselves out...I myself feel that if someone asks me a question I'll respond to it, and they'll check it out for themselves and vice versa.

Interesting post! It's difficult to regulate things, though! Back in the distant past, when I started here on Blogit, I made it a point to respond to each comment, and kind of made a vow to myself always to keep it up! It proved impossible - time would simply not permit me to do that.
In fact, my lack of time has led to the sad situation that I do not read enough, and even when I read I don't
necessarily comment, mainly because, again, I often don't have the time for a
meaningful answer! That's especially true when I read posts that talk of personal matters, where one would need to reflect on things, and where I'd rather say nothing than come up with something glib...

Wow :-) that was some post! I enjoyed tremendously your enjoyment of all those comments ... but I got to confess I am a little confused as to what is it exactly you propose to do about the feedback to the comments... Honestly I did not understand what you meant to do. There is a simpler way to find out who left a "rebuttal" feedback if you will :-) to your comments... Just click on the SEARCH icon ( to the left of WRITE on the top bar). Then click on COMMENTS and write your name on the window that appears. Click enter and oila! all the comments on your comments and your blog will appear from the most recent one down the line. TO read them in their entirity just click on them. The only draw back is that if someone did not use your name in their comment, their feedback will not show. For example most people write Sinome in their comments to my stuff but some write Marta ( my name loll) so when I check, I check for both Sinome and Marta. As far as just reading who reads you I guess that is your perrogative. Most times I read first those who have commented on my latest post but that is only because the names are there and its the easy thing to do :-) (I am lazy loll) Sometimes, when I am truly pressed for time, I read my favs first, regardless of whether they read me or not... there are some writers in here I am totally addicted to. At the end of the day Tzippy, Blogit should be a place you come to relax in... just do what makes you feel good sweetie and write, because reading you makes us, your readers , feel good :-) Be well xoxoxo

Comments are gifts of time and care
But i don't think it can be regulated ;-) or even have a protocol. I love the comments I receive and don't take them for granted. But I think having written in magazines and newspapers etc I am used to the idea of people reading me but never knowing what they thought of something. I think it's quite powerful in a way that we can make a difference to someone but never know it. Call it karma, what goes around comes around.
I used to blog here every day, was top 10, No.1 etc and was heavily into comment etiquette. I agree it's good to reply across blogs in some cases. In others not. It depends. Anyway, I had to drop my protocol. I had no time. I saw that if I had to follow a format of replying in a particular way, I would have to leave. So I accepted that I would lose some readers. But the loyal ones have stuck with me every step, and me with them. Lately I've been writing two novels and helping a man write a book so my discipline is directed to those things but still I couldn't leave here. Sometimes I comment when moved to, sometimes when i wish to raise my head above the parapet
, and other times when I have time to give it. I often am tired so will just say a word or two, or just enjoy in silence. I think we write to connect but we cannot be too attached to the level of feedback we receive. I like with my most recent post that comments came in across days which might not have happened if I kept adding posts day after day. So there you go. My little ramble for the day.

Thank you sweetheart for giving me a mention..I am truly touched. I understand about the space and time constraints to comment and reply to comments. I also feel that sometimes when you reply to the comments, there is a personal touch and you get to know the writer better. I do of course do a lot of reading without responding too. Thank you for sharing this and your suggestion is very appropriate. Tzippy, my blog space I think of as my home, when someone visits, I thank them for their valued visit as when you visit I get great pleasure because I share some of your experiences too. It is Easter morning here - Happy Easter to you and yours Tzippy.
