I hope the Obama Administration will rethink this. We don't need no stinkin' egregious errors.

re: unimpeded worship
stations of the cross
the church of the holy sepulchre
the church of the nativity
other places holy to Christians
peaceful Jewish presence in Palestine
these have existed for centuries under Moslem rule.
Jews have enjoyed greater respect from Moslems than from Western Christianity.
what has been posted here is greatly misinformed

Very true what he says. Simply put even if the demands were met there are those who will not stop to see every Jewish person wiped from the face of the earth.

This is an excellent piece. This is so true. It is reasonable if you look at the culture of the two. I think David must be looking down now on the City he made the capital of Israel. It is the city of God, it will not be torched again not for some time. They have come home, they will be protected. People need to review the earlier wars of this reestablishment of Israel. If they cannot see the hand of God on a war with a couple of rag tag tanks and such a show was done by God that fields and fields of tanks tucked tail and ran home. There is so much more to life on this planet than windmill electricity.

Obama is going to turn the whole world against him..in one week he
basically insulted Israel, Great Britain and Canada (maybe other countries, too)...he is not going to have a friend left in the world, but, maybe that's the way he wants it....

the conservative view on Jerusalem is the threat to peace
flying in the face of international law, UN resolutions, U.S. Administration policy, scuttling peace talks with moderate Palestinians -- basically a slap in the face to the Obama Administration.
Unified Jerusalem means basically that Palestinians lose where they have been living for generations to a Zionist vision that excludes them. Netanyahu & conservatives' actions threaten peace rather than promote it.

you know where I stand on this, Naut - having just been there and appreciating the freedom I had, myself, to walk through the Arab markets to the Stations of the Cross - as a Jew. No one stopped me, I was free to respect all religions there. It sickens me to see our own administration cowtow to radicals......Mal

Jerusalem is important and fundamental to Jewish history and would never survive being split! What an outstanding article, too! Shelly

I can not imagine that the division of Jerusalem would ever happen... Israel would never permit it. ften I have seen the tremendous growth that the article you shared with us proclaims and I tell you that I have also seen how Arab israelies and their Jewish neighbors live side by side, rarely having any problems when left alone by the extremists that harrass them both. It is such a magical city... so full of history and romance... to walk its streets fills one's heart with wonder and the excitement of knowing so many others have done the same and one understands then why everyone wants to claim it as their own. Regardless of what one believes... or what religion one afiliates oneself with... there is no denying that Jerusalem is special and that the Israelies have managed to modernize it without errasing its charm and heritage, not an easy feat. Obama and Clinton would do well in keeping their grubby hands off Jerusalem. As a matter of fact, everyone should do that and leave the ones who live there figure it out. Be well NAut xoxoxo
