So sorry to hear you've been ill. Why do these things happen at the most inappropriate times? Still, sounds as though the hostel was a great experience and the people lovely. Looking forward to reading more about it all.

Kabu, thanks...! I am feeling much better now, even went out into the streets today, where it is quite warm and sunny. Still... the cats are waiting... I will be on my way home to them tomorrow afternoon. And to my own cozy bed, to sleep away the last of this cold.
