From a grandmother's point of view, I can see where one would become angry with a daughter or daughter-in-law such as how you described your mother. My granddaughter has been through some very tough times in her 7 short years because of my daughter and the men she has been with. Probably more than I know about. But I can see myself in your grandmother's place if my daughter had left the baby with me and come once in awhile and had been unfit to keep her. I'm not sure I'm making myself clear. It just sounds like your grandmother loved you very much and was trying to do what was best for you. She may have been misdirected but it sounds like she cared about not letting your mother hurt you.

Anyone who either propels evil, or doesn't stop it is the 'bad guy'. That can be one or several people. It took me a long time to realize this. But you can trust God and you can trust yourself. That's enough.
