Your opening line was similar to SNOOPY"S literary work, except for "NIGHT"

marvelous post!
...there is so much life around, if one simply watches for it ...things are warming now and as I sat in the Sun this morning... there is a pleasent brief scamper visit by one of the grapevine resident lizards, that I call the 'garden mini-Dragons'... and then a quick hover stop at the apple tree blossums by the 'mini-helicoter' Hummingbird... and a half a dozen crows are having a neighborhood meeting... and spirited debate... along the telephone pole wires above

Sounds like a typical northwest couple of days.
Some days I miss my woods and streams, the hikes I took, the sunrise from behind those mountains to the east of me. But I don't miss chopping firewood or shoveling a path to the outhouse.

I know the waiting seems next to impossible to handle but there is no other way to get through it! I sent a manuscript to a publisher and haven't heard a word and I am coming up on three months! So who really knows what goes on behind the scenes when we are at the mercy of another! It is just a waiting game and now I think I shall go feed the birds, too! sam
