I've always thought your position is well understood
Well that's what I glean from my reading here. I think very often on blogit that differences of opinion are cast as a viewpoint being  misinterpreted. We can never determine which aspect or intention of our stated view will be picked up by reader. My own feeling is that anything we say is fair game.

Thank you for your kind words, although I am not quite sure why my comment was judged cogent - . I see my own view as naive, based on my instincts, and slight experience due to my past work, but not great knowledge. I have never been a scholar, or written professionally, about this topic.  And I've not read the Koran, and am unlikely to for another decade or so although it's on my  list for a later phase. I have visited a couple of predominantly muslim countries. I don't believe that anyone here should have to have been a scholar or have read the  Koran in order to be qualified to comment. Sure it adds something to discussion but the reality is that most people won't have. We all can't read everything.

It was an interesting speech by that woman. Very articulate.Reminded me of a friend's book written after escaping an oppressive life in Iran.

You've hit the nail on the proverbial head. Our war isn't against terrorism but against I-F. Unfortunately we are not fighting it as such.

Azar Majedi is a brave woman.  The whole world is fortunate that she still has her head.
