Re: Sam444
I thought you might appreciate that - you seem to share my love of words and that is such an expressive one

I loved maelstrom! It can feel like a vortex when the pen sits idly and the world spins round and round! Loved the imagery all the way through! sam

Re: Snowview
Thank you, Nita,  that's very astute and often the case.  Some days I have difficulties writing because I am more inclined towards quiet reflection than the dance and dazzle of the written word

Re: Elyse
Some days I begin 20 poems and struggle to finish one... this was definitely one such not too little inspiration, but too much

Re: Rockingrector_retd
thank you!  It's not a frequent thing, but it happens sometimes... of course there is some irony in writing about that

I think you've described a common problem
for so many of us but I can't believe it will be like this for you for very long. Have a good (and productive) weekend...

Idle pen??????  That pen is the luckiest pen I know for it gets to give life to your beautiful thoughts... and even when its "idle" , that gifted pen of yours, it produces such beauty my hard working one , that struggles to scribble, always feels humbled by it... Great work as always sweetie :-)  xoxoxoxo

An idle pen could also mean a quiet time of reflection! Thanks for your visit. Nita
