Yes, the beat haunted me all day.  All I could imagjne was Carmen Miranda looping around the furniture, shaking the bananas on her head, winking at me all the time.

Re: Tapioca is what you eat before singing karaoke.
That must be why i'm so bad at karaoke - I don't indulge.

Re: salsa
So did I.  Idea! - I'm setting up the poems I've written for this blog in different combinations for presentation as a kind of revue in the local playhouse where I've done some work over the past 30 years, and I see the Tapioca poem as a kind of goofy conga line snaking through the audience.  - Who knows?  I can dream, can't I?

Re: tapioca
It turns out that it's some kind of root (do they throw the rest of the plant away?) that yields those starchy little soft BB's.  Shobana says they once fried it with curry during the lean times!

Re: tapioca fried with curry
Now that was a surprise to me!  It's nothing more than a kind of old-fashioned dessert over here - you made it by adding milk, egg, and vanilla and then boiling it.  My mother used to "stretch" it by beating up some egg-white meringue and "folding" it in.

Re: Tapioca
FROGspawn!  Wow, that's pretty ...(gagbarf)...vivid!   doubt if I'll ever look at a plate of the stuff the same way again!

As for my muse, she's from [where did these italics come from???]

the Rent-a-Muse poetry-window washing-chicken-plucking-escort service.  Springing up all over the place.  I'm crazy about gardening, too, but can't do any till the snow clears.  My favorite T-shirt shows a wheelbarrow and spade and says Plays in the Dirt

Tapioca is what you eat before singing karaoke.

I know what tapioca is without looking it up :) We eat it boiled or fried, make a dish of it and eat it with curry. It was the most cheapest food during the emergency and is a staple food in some places. Really liked your entry here.

Tapioca
I think it's that stuff we used to have for school dinners and called frog spawn and I had an allergic reaction to tadpoles. I'm not going to look it up Bob because your explanation is quite adequate, what sort of muse are you using?
