We were never quite sure why the "policia" moved in or why they left. They lived in that little house for a year.

It looks like the Border crossing at Nogales when I was a kid.
Yup, no good thing happens when a jail moves in. Lovely photo tho'

The building looks shady to me. Maybe that's the reason?

It definitely looks deserted.  I'll bet some Haitian homeless quake victims would love having that for a home.

It looks like a better place to tour than stay.  Many poor countries are not as fair as the U.S. in general  and use a heavier hand with justice, although, of course there are always exceptions.  It makes for a great photogragh and statement.
