- Go to A woman with attitude -- first draft of an idea for a biography
This is good! I don't dislike her - I have a feeling one too many hard knocks has made her stiff. Now who is going to show up and soften her up?

I say it again....you are the master at sucking us into the plot, making us feel that we know the characters well; or someone just like them. Good writing, Pat!

Like to know more about what the story is about
Now have a lot of information but which parts will unfurl first? Even in a biography I think the information
is put out slowly over time
I think you just write then worry about what anyone thinks because the work will find its own path.
Then you will see if it's biography or fiction. Fiction frees you to tell the truth, to capture the essence of
the story. Give yourself permission to tell the story, tell yourself it's just for you, and then see what happens.

PAT.......IS THIS YOU OR ME.
I may have to fictionalize this. Work the bits into a novel. My sibs don't want to look at this in print for all the world to see. Don't know why, it's got a good "triumph over adversity" spin to it -- But then they're respectable people with an image to maintain. I'm the odd wad that took off for parts unknown and doesn't know when to keep her mouth shut. lol
it'sgoing tobe great stuff.

This is what I call characterisation, with a capital K. You had me hooked after I read para 4.

So far, she doesn't seem as bad as my MIL was--close, but so far Agnes has her beat in that respect.
