If only. I got a royalty cheque for 68 pence once when a TV programme I wrote for was bought by a foreign country. I framed it.

I like Italian cafes! And I once thought to become a writer one had to sit around bars and drink a lot. I tried that - didn't work, although I still like to sit around bars, without drinking quite as much though...

I think she makes some good points
That's why I think a writers place that has the backing of some groups is a good thing. Then there can be classes, a mag, all sorts of things.
The book shop and coffee shop - well you made them sound like I want to go there

You're so right, it isn't that easy to get published. I did it once and now have no energy to try again really. Just content rambling through Blogit reading and writing here and there.
