Burning an inextinguishable fire is so exquisite! Long or not, it is awesome imagery my Shobana! I know the writer's block feeling, it isn't pleasant but that is why I enjoy older poems and re-posts! It so gets my ire when great poems lay in notebooks as it were on on blog pages! So, I am thankful you shared this one! Love you, too, my Shobana! Your sam

So intimate -- yet a bit at arm's length.  Touching.  Don't quit.  The block is but a temporary "blanket".joab

Re: Flame
Thank you Corncrake, I know what you mean. I am mostly doing stuff on the computer these days so I get a chance to read my blogs and comment as and when I want. I think that is what is contributing to my not being able to come up with something new. A lack of focus. After a while the innocence does wear out you are right. Your blogs are really good.. Maybe you can write a little shorter entries so you don't get so burned out. Thanks so much for your comment and visit.Take care.

I wouldn't worry too much about it Shobana, post the Oldies, well that's what I do. There again we all are more innocent in our earlier poems and sometimes that little bit innocence is very effective. I do like the clarity of your poems. I feel it's almost impossible to write something every day, I was writing a blog and I was becoming burned out, I just could not hack it in such a tight schedule.

Hello Shgobs
Such an evocative poem, very sweet, full of desire - the true taste of touch and nearness brought out so well. These days I too am facing writer's block with so many other thgings to attend to. I'll be shortly back to read others, those that I have missed and savor their taste too, peacefully.

The passion one experiences during love can be impossible to extinguish. The only thing that can happen is that the flame burns out...
