Corbin..
I really believe this country has come to such a knot in the ability to behave civilly that we may not ever be able to even hear one another. This is the first time in history that I have seen people drop all decency in communication. What is this all about? It is violent behavior. The drugs of the 60s have come through three generations now until such a vast segment of the population is effected greatly by this. Good to see you on here. Or I am usually up until around 3 a.m. Be blessed.

Justi.....
What are you doing up so early or late depending on one's perspective.......
I'm glad to see this approach to blogit......it's so much less stressful if we laugh at those who behave so foolish......and have decent discussions with those that disagree in a civil fashion.

I made a vow to the Lord years ago and in that vow I agreed to be honest in all my dealings to the best of my ability. I try to do that and ask the Lord when I am short on it. Thank you for your kind comment. Are you getting a horse?

I am adding part of your comment here because I think it is so important. Thank you for reading and commenting. Yes we both do not agree on all things but that is what this country is about and what freedom is about. I want to respond to some specifics.
You are, of course, Dear Justi, entitled to your opinion, as we all are. I think labels are so misleading and only make the issues much more un-solvable, as does name calling, rudeness, disrespect in any form. I tune out people who do that, no matter their stated stance. What most people want and need, I believe, is a fair or at least fair
er playing field in regards to jobs, pay, liberty, governance. Things are and have been for way too long, tilted against the working, majority classes. For example, exempting a corporation from most of it's taxation obligations supposedly is a good thing because it creates more jobs, better wages, more benefits. Yet the reality is that same corporation is shipping jobs overseas or hiring illegal immigrants as fast as they can, with no penalties and using the increased profit to pay their executives and boards obscene salaries and bonuses. Where does the hungry-for-work,
living wages American fit in? They don't...
I so agree with the first part we all are; however, name calling to a great extent shuts down the process for learning and moving forward. It even shuts down the hearing of these people who disagree with you/me. If we shut them out we no longer hear what we feel they may not know. If we shut them out we have no opportunity to ask them if they really mean this or that. In short dialog is stopped and anger hightened by the use of foul language and anger directly to another person. All of us reach a frustration level where we have to use language not befitting our goal toward those we cannot reach but they have a tremendous effect on our lives. Dialog is a means to solution even if the dialog is one we disagree with we may learn either us or the other person is simply hurt, or has been badly because of the actions of those we represent, without exchange there is no way of knowing, thus no solution. That is one of the paths to liberty - dialog - between differing parties, managment, government, etc..
Jobs: I managed a business for the first time in 1957 and owned my first business in 1963. I would love to dialog with you about this incredible sorry shipping off jobs. I find the pay, those working without ever having been the owner with full responsibility and those owning a business or in corporate top drawer without ever having worked for others are at a disadvantage of truly understanding both sides of these coins.
I have been the whole ball of wax. A woman doing a top level job and a man assisting me making more than twice what I did. I have been a single mother raising children with hardly enough to make ends meet and knowing I had to pay others first for what they worked for.
Between us, and others like us to disagree but are willing to offer up our side and be heard and to listen to the other side and hear those things we have doubted there will never be anything but defeat for this country. Actually this is in one way what the Tea Party is about, it is not a party it is a people, working class who are so frustrated they must be heard, listen and demand change for all.
I sincerely thank you for reading me and commenting. There are areas here that we can agree to disagree and leave it at that but mostly we can agree to a solution in the middle somewhere. Again thanks.

I wouldn't say most, but that's just me..

As far as abortion, I am against using it for birth control purposes; an embryo, then fetus are life, if not, how can they develop into a fully fledged human being a few months later, if uninterrupted..my take...sex education for teens and adults alike would surely help some; amazing how so many so called grown-ups just don't realize how easily conception can happen. But then, of course, when it does happen, the unintended pregnancy, there needs to be greater resources to help people adopt and/or care for the little ones who were unwanted - and who fairly, should pay for that? I don't know...
Marriage Rights - why does it matter what individuals do in their private lives or who they love, if it is not harming anyone else - I would choose a happily married gay person teaching my kids over a heterosexual pedophile any day!
That's why we need to communicate more effectively; the first step toward finding real solutions for the tough issues we collectively face.
Thought invoking post; Thank you.

That is as it should be. Bloging is for the individual. What we have to say can be said without disrespect to others. I have never seen you being disrespectful. Be blessed dear lady.

Thank you Justi for sharing this. You always say your piece and I like that you are frank. I am one of those who believe that everyone has a right to their own belief and would like to hear what I want to hear. Blogging is a sort of escapism for me. In my world where there is much to contend with, I really don't want to blog and get into much more. I feel strongly that sometimes I need to take into consideration the feelings of others and some things are best left unsaid. Thanks so much for your visit to my blog, it's really nice to see you there.

No, no you are not a coward number 1. Number 2 it is not about debate of disagreement it is about those who are angry at anyone who disagrees with them and are ugly about it. 3, It is about the people who are now calling anyone who wants to simply stay out of the fray, they call stupid and that makes my blood boil. You are a kind sweet person who comes on here reads and comments that you don't want to take sides. That is your right and I certainly respect it. YOU ARE NO COWARD... You left summer and came half way around the world to live in the snow with a man you loved but had not met... You are the bravest woman I know and God has favored that relationship to the hilt. Bless you.
