Whenever I forget these things, I give more of my possesions away
to refugees to remind me that I do not need things, more things will come to me without working at it even and that things are of no value. The people around me are everything, those in my life and my concern for the greater world outside my door moves me forward.

My Cup Runneth Over
It's a lesson I hope many more of us learn, to appreciate the fact that we live in a free country, with so many luxeries like clean water and community food banks.

A priceless life lesson, indeed..
Sad for the children there and anywhere deprivations of the necessities of life are so hard wrought for the innocent and helpless..
Excellent writing and perspective.

Thank you...

There is so much we at home have to thank you for...    Besides all that, thank you for connecting us here with how it is there.

I have a friend who is leaving soon.  He has been in deployment training for the past 3 months, and will soon be in Afghanistan.  Your posts here will help a lot, to understand what it's like for him.

Thank you, I will be reading here frequently.

A wonderful post.  What a tradgedy this world is for many children around the world.  It is amazing to me that as many make it to adulthood as do.  It's no wonder that as adults their religion and politics are so skewed from our way of thinking.
