MMMMMM!!!! I want to read your family's cookbook! Never thought of lemon pepper with grilled cheese....I'm gonna try it!!!! Nautikos is another blogger that concocts some amazing stuff, and I think it was Justi that described a meal of perfection just the other day...we just all need to get together and cook and EAT!!!

Re: Allianna
hehe me too, my dad's a cook and I grew up in the back of a greek/italian resterante. I don't like anything bland and I like to experiment with different things. Ever tried making grilled cheese with lemon pepper on the bread? My brother won't eat anyone elses omlettes, he likes mine with basil and parsley and onion powder and whatever the heck else I feel like putting in there that particular time. Gotta love flavor

What a silly person! Gagging over mustard on chicken??? Seriously, this person would NEVER make it in the world of gourmet cooking. What with all of the raspberry/chipotle marinades, and mango/pepper chutneys....never, ever, ever! I'm sure that's someone that likes their food as bland as the hospitals make it. Now that makes ME gag...!

Re: hehe
oh I almost forgot I wanted to comment on the waitress at the pizza place. A friend of mine ordered a mcchicken from mcdonalds once add mustard and the cashier freaked out and stood there gagging... I wish we could've remembered her name because if I'd ever done that when I worked there it would have been instant termination

I used to have similar eating habits to yours. My dad used to bug me about having to mix all my food together so that everything was really mixed because it all went the same place anyway... I have to say though I have always had one thing I was rather picky about. For some odd ball reason if I have a sandwhich with cheese on it I can't eat it if the mayo is on the cheese, it doesn't taste right to me. I have absolutely no idea why but for some reason I don't like the cheese if it's right on the mayo but I'm just fine if the mayo is on the other side.... Aside from that I've never really been all that picky.. more picky now because I crave specific things then I've been most of my life..

Sounds so much like me. I mix my ice cream, I mix my food I plan a meal so that the flavors blend then I blend them in my mouth. Yes mashed potatoes and black eyed peas are good in one bite but better if you add coleslaw. Good post as usual.

My kids are picky eaters
I was in the same boat as you...eat what's there or starve...and much of the time I wasn't even offered food, so the starve option was it.

Waste
Did they not have beautiful gardens, plump cabbages, succulent white cauliflowers, heavy crops of potatoes. rich black cottage soil that would nourish almost everything. It was the Waste.

I'm NOT going to hate you! Because when someone tries to predict me, I usually do the opposite...being the rebellious sort...This can be summed up in one sentence. "In with the good and out with the bad..."

This is it! You have convinced me! I shall stop creating waste. Or rather, I shall use my waste creatively, and apply it to my roses. Then, when I am eating, which I don't intend to give up, I am really creating beauty! And even the smell of my waste is really the lovely scent of roses...
