It is difficult to justify the long trip! Perhaps, flowers!? So, MEGIRL, I wish you had a clone, too! You are inundated with work and I think you are better served to take care of the pressing issues at hand! It was a very interesting point you made on dying in one's sleep! I don't know but I take it in dream form! Have a great weekend and happy Valentines Day, too! O, I nearly forgot, S.A.S.S. meant Shelly Authoring Shilly-Shallying! lol on me! I have had my share of computer/comfuser problems, I come toss mine with you! loll MEDEAR

Thank you all 3! I'll have a talk with my Mann and see. I'm already gone for 4 days during my reading week...so, he might want to spend some time together as he just came back from 2 weeks in Europe.

Funerals are not really for the one passed on, but for those who are left behind. I tend to agree with Nautikos.

Sorry about your loss! But sad though they are, these are always occasions for renewing family bonds, and I believe that's important, especially today! I would go...Besides, I have always liked Quebec City...

I came to check out your latest post last evening and noticed that you had not been here for a time. Sorry about your loved one. I can't say what I would do in your situation, but looking at it from the other side of the coin--I have a step-grandson in Florida and another in Arkansas and I love seeing them when I have the opportunity. But, once I am dead and gone, I'm not going to care if they (or anyone else) come pay homage or not.
