I find this also a little  intimidating  not to mention scary... ( the blog not you Naut loll)  But mostly I enjoy learning so many nuances of Islam  I had no idea existed. ( nuances seems like a nice pc word :-)) I said it before and I said it again you are a great teacher my friend xoxoxo

This expression "redistribute historical capital" has set me thinking...

I am dismayed for I cannot believe that I may have during the course of my career approved albeit committee consensus the approval of these types of texts! We relied on agencies that screened texts as it were, notable, as it were again, without reading the text ourselves. This comes because the curriculum was evaluated by subject on a rotating basis! The work in this area is overwhelming at best. There could be up to 5 textbooks per year to be evaluated per per grade. I can see how this is so easy to infiltrate and get them in nation wide. So damn easy! I never thought I would back on all the hours I spent and come to rue the day that I ever voted for adoption of any textbook that would have such decisive outcomes that white wash the truth! So disturbing for me! I don't even know what to think any more! I just don't! Shelly

I noticed that too where Christianity is portrayed as being evil. Both have certainly had low moments in their history.

Well, I've got some catching up to do too in this blog.  It is very intimidating to try to comment intelligibly when you've missed a week or so worth of information.  But it does seem that somehow everything has switched around and one can no longer tell for sure what is the difference between black and white.

I see I have some catching up to do, Naut,
but so far, this is very well-written and interesting. Good work, as always!
