Airport waiting time?
Gives an entirely different dimension to this I think. I've been struggling to stay awake all day today...

Re: Sam444
I am always inclined to doze off at airports and always afraid I will sleep through boarding if I do. Thank you

Re: Elyse
I was lucky that everything went on time, but I found a gap in the bad weather

Sleep Oh how we must sleep but not to miss ones flight..Nice job..I've been there..the numbness of your senses as your conscious keeps guard..Lv Fema

At least you were awake and didn't miss your flight. Such a beautiful imagery   Chuck.

I know that feeling! It is kind of unsettling at the airport even though the clientele is of a different persuasion, it still is unnerving to grab a nap with bags left exposed! Plus, the long wait between flights can be so long that sleep always comes to mind! Excellent imagery, too! sam

I was just listening to the travel reports --- I do hope you did not have such a long delay.  My last few flights in fact have been delayed to inclement weather and I would just give up and go to a hotel --- rescheduling what I could - simply for my own feeling of 'safety' and 'security' .  I'm hoping you're home from your flight delays.  Elyse

My head of course was on guard at some dangerous outpost
where all were relying on me to stand guard. Great poem....I always say that because your work is always so great.

Oh, how I hate those airport waits! We're off to Portugal at 5.00am at the end of the month - I shall take your poem with me!
