It is very difficult to see the reality of the happenings now without one is looking for just that and only that. It gets flavored with politics, social structure, religion and the real battle is then invisible but rather dressed in the robe of one or all of the others.

The confusion is perhaps from my inability to write well. I have no idea what you are talking about in the situation of the doctor... this does nor remotely connect with the one in Ft. Hood. I appreciate you, love your writing. We do not agree on politics; however, I do respect your right to your difference. I cannot accept that anyone on Jihad can be allowed in this country for any reason. That puts our whole nation at risk. I have absolutely no beef with you or your right to your thoughts on politics with the exception that in my mind, from my experience and my beliefs political correctness and leftist thinking is a grave danger to all Americans.

Well, I don't understand this...

The abuse by this soldier is horrible, heartbreaking and he deserves punishment - goes without saying really..but I don't get the picture from the dots you are trying to connect, Justi - being honest here; I am confused... Because waterboarding is now banned, that means it will be used to abuse the innocent in the U.S.?

Not everyone suspected of terrorism and subsequently arrested is guilty. A hypothetical, but shadings of reality in the world around us: A person accuses their foreign born doctor of involvement with a jihadist group, because they are upset about their care for some reason or perhaps the bill or bedside manner, etc. and the Doctor is picked up, confined without constitutional rights, then waterboarded and/or beaten, possibly injured for any and all information he may possess...
What kind of government would you say this is?

So many ugly things happenning here in US I truly do not know why don't we clean up our house first before we go cleaning our neighbors.  Terrorists are just like animals in my book  I think someone gives up his dignity when they try to kill innocent people.  Very passionate plea Justi xoxoxo
