I notice alot of people from Ontario will use "I go" instead of "I say". And it isn't only the kids.....

Haha  Maybe he was texting them, that was the 'go'?  I am tired of feeling my neck hairs rise when noticing media typos or homophones and especially the wrong case for the 'he and I,' or 'him and me' . . .  but new words are sometimes useful ('upload, download', etc.) since they do what words are supposed to do: transfer information.  Is anyone else getting sick of icons rather than words for, say, function buttons in a vehicle, even a semi?  Okay when I can figure them out, but . . .  maybe I ain't as hep as I think?

Now that I think about it a lot of people do say the word "go" instead of "say."

commas are sort of like Parmesan cheese that you sprinkle on your words
that is the most wonderful sentence I have found today

Hey! I thought the days of tracking students was over! lol Someone needs to let the teacher in on it! I bet the texting and tweeting is/are; was/were; can/can't {there should have been commas, I don't make corrections, I leave it up to the prisons] lol [O, one should stick to form, parentheses or brackets, never mixed, lol}  driving English teachers bananas! I do wonder if he is out there, spy! lol Shelly

Oh, I know the kids think I was born shortly after the discovery of fire,
but I can get so nit-picky and critical about that grammar stuff. It's one thing if they know the rule and choose to bend or break it -- but illiteracy and ignorance while in the act of assuming they know what's what just yanks my chain. I know, times like that I just ain't cool.

spelling and writing is changing..in 100 years or less our
speech and writing will be as archaic as the middle ages language is to us.
