I agree
with PatB. Resubmit without blinking. It could be the next submission that is successful!

When I was in the insurance business we had to go through 7 nos before a yes! You've only begun! The most difficult part is getting someone to say yes! So the more nos you get the closer you get to a yes! Good luck and never stop submitting if you want to see it in print! sam

Moments like you had today are fleeting, both the good & the sad.
Breathless,
When we see the beauty of nature's colorful splendor, they seldom wait for us to go find the camera. When we rarely have it in hand and capture the scene for posterity, it makes them even more splendid and remarkable!

The glorious color should last a bit longer, but I guess if it did

we'd just take it for granted.

Sorry about the rejection. But don't give up. Quickly, before you can change your mind, write a new, shiny, 3-paragraph cover letter and slip those pages in a big envelope and send them off to another publisher of children's stuff. Nothing ventured, etc...

Someone in the last day or so commented somewhere that even J.K. Rowling of the Harry Potter series was rejected a dozen times before someone actually looked at what she'd done. Sooner or later you're gonna catch someone in the right mood and they'll print your "baby."

Outa
These days I think we're all colour-starved in the Northern Hemisphere - I know I am! And I have a perfect recipe for eliminating rejection slips - I never send anything out in the first place...

I think I am having one of those days too love. No sun here for so long

I fill the house with silk flowers one time I would have said ooh Yuk....but fresh flowers are expensive and they shed before I throw them so I rearrange my color with the silk.

The short summer here I spend outside in the garden and can't stand to cut a flower till it is dead. I love the colors against all the green.

Never mind the rejection...they do it to us all they just don't know brilliance when they read it. You are a great entertainment to read. Wiley said come read this Lady....now I am hooked.
