Your memories are lovely --- we have a 1960 VW we are restoring.  I cannot wait to drive it for a bit, as my little VW 2007 takes a bit more to fill up.  It's so sad the price gouging these days.  All your memories are just great Dan ~ and precious - I know you cherish.  Thank you for sharing.  Elyse

Ah, memories! Although yours are, or course, a glimpse into another world for me. Ed and I celebrate our Ruby Wedding this year.

Oh how very nice. How the world has changed in such a short time. In the course of time that is short, but oh so different now. Be blessed this post was a blessing.

Dan
That was nice. I'm a bit older than you are and I married in 1958, the first time. Sadly it ended in divorce 20 years and 5 children later. My youngest son lived in CA for 20 years but now lives in Seattle. My oldest son lives in Florida. That was a nice read and I loved my old VW as well. No heater in them then so it was cold in Montréal weather........

Wonderful thoughts...we are of the same vintage except my thoughts from
then are of Australia. I married in 1968 too...we lived on $20.00 a week, had two kids and the marriage lasted 17 years, it ended without bitterness...had just run its course. Yes memories.
