Thanks for your kind words...And I would never have put you in the 'High Maintenance' category...

I am just happy that you were able to make the right decision and still wind up friendly and loving towards men in general. God Bless you PatB

As usual you have nailed it, and what a shock to hear fromyour Dr.
back then. Marriage or sanity...really heartbreaking actually. But brave and strong you have moved on and made your own way. I admire that. I went back to read Naut's comment too and he nailed it as well.

I 'knew' that there was much more than the trivialities you mentioned by name; we women tend to mother whether the 'child' is a child or not, and let much bigger flaws ride (than the ones you mentioned).  It is hard to know just why one person cannot see how detrimental he or she is.  Good for you in changing the situation; I can only guess that it wasn't as easy as someone might think--still hard to 'toss the bum out.'  Emotion vs. sense, and you had the sense.

I like that you included "subtle hints are wasted".  Took me years to figure that one out but now I rather like that a direct (and concise) approach is what works.  Went back to read  the poem and Naut's comments and enjoyed both...

I think you have said what most women feel. We can put up with alot from the right person, but when the rewards are not included, one needs to just walk away. I agree about Naut's sense of humor. He has a way of saying things...and so do you.
