I've had that experience once, only it was a painting of a castle and
grounds; felt as though I was pulled into the landscape somehow and intimately knew the people who lived there, even though they were not actually seen. I was clear headed, or so I thought..:) I can't remember the artist unfortunately; but wow, what talent - kind of eerie, but spellbinding indeed!

It would be impossible for anyone to hold that look, is that why it is so haunting?
It can be captured in fleeting moments, I would like to be able to paint like that.

Nice post feme, I have an oil painting of my two daughters and their eyes follow me round the living room, sometimes a weird and eerie experience. BF
