Re: this is a beautiful poem-wonderfully put together
thanks Tzippy... well here's the thing, I was named Lionreigns by my muse and my perception of lions has mostly formed since then - the lion now represents (for me) many of the qualities in myself I seek to emphasise.

Lions
My eyes not being what they once were, I blinked and wondered why the lion called himself an "Asian". But then I blinked again and realized the word was "Aslan". Bravo! I'm a CS lewis fan, too - Long Live The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe! I loved the last installment when Aslan leads them to heaven! Very fine poem - he's strict and wise, but a lion of love, too!

this is a beautiful poem-wonderfully put together
its always great to know what in spired it, but you should put the comment that inspired it as well. the big question I have is what is it about lions that triggers you so? :) It would be interesting to know how you look at it.
