Pat-B, my sympathy to you for the pain. Personally, I am not a lover of dentist appointments...even if the dentist was a Brad Pitt look-a-like, I go when I have to, but enjoy it? Nope.

I love my dentist, but not well enough to visit him as often as I should. He is a big burly fellow with carrot-orange hair and freckles, and a wonderful jolly personality. His dad was my Mom & Dad's dentist and they just loved him. Son has followed in his father's footsteps of going for six weeks every year to third-world countries and doing dental work for free in those places. I hope you are better soon. I abhor problems such as you mention.
